Suryavanshi said his plan was to play aggressively in the powerplay. He said the wicket was initially difficult, but as the ball got older, it came better onto the bat. He said that in matches with small targets, using the powerplay correctly is important, as bowlers can influence the game during that phase. He said the team’s powerplay played an important role in the match.

Suryavanshi said the team management and senior players allowed him to play his natural game. He said the coach did not ask batters to play cautiously but encouraged them to play as they have been playing. He said the coach gave him confidence to play according to his natural batting and the match situation, and that he focused on his own game regardless of external opinions.
