Jaipur: The weather in Jaipur, the state capital, is gradually changing, and the cold can now be distinctly felt. On Thursday morning, the city's mild chill and weak sunlight compelled people to wear sweaters, jackets, and other warm clothes. The moisture and shiver in the morning air gave the weather a January-like feel.
Due to the reduced intensity of the sun, the morning temperature felt relatively low. Cold winds also caused a slight shiver in several parts of the city. According to weather experts, a further drop in temperature can be expected in the coming days.
Impact of Minimum Temperature Increases Across the State
Not just Jaipur, but the entire state of Rajasthan has begun to feel the grip of winter. In Eastern Rajasthan, the Dhundhar region, Mewar area, and the desert districts, temperatures have been continuously dropping since night. Several districts experienced light fog and cold winds in the morning, intensifying the cold's effect. The Meteorological Department states that in many districts, the minimum temperature was recorded 2–4 degrees Celsius below normal.
Possibility of Light Rain in Coming Days
The Meteorological Department has indicated that several districts might experience light rain or drizzle in the next few days. Due to the active Western Disturbance in North India, a slight impact is expected in Rajasthan. This change could lead to a further drop in minimum temperatures.
Cloudy conditions are particularly likely in Eastern Rajasthan, Mewar, and the Shekhawati region. The department has advised farmers to avoid unnecessary irrigation of crops and to monitor potential weather changes.
