Shibu Soren: A Strong Pillar of Jharkhand Politics
Shibu Soren's contribution to the politics of Jharkhand needs no introduction. He was born on May 11, 1944, in Gola village of Hazaribagh district. Coming from a common farming family, he received his education up to matriculation from Gola High School. Subsequently, he dedicated his life to the fight for the rights of the tribal community in Jharkhand.
Popularly Known as 'Dishom Guru' and 'Guruji'
Shibu Soren was popularly known as 'Guruji' among the general public, while in the tribal community he was recognized as 'Dishom Guru'. He was not only a political leader but also a social activist. He played a leading role in the struggle for the establishment of the state of Jharkhand. His entire life was dedicated to protecting the rights of the deprived, tribals, and backward classes.
Served as Chief Minister of Jharkhand Three Times
Shibu Soren served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand three times between 2005 and 2010. His leadership is considered significant in the political history of Jharkhand.
