Method of Performing the Puja
It is essential to wake up early and take a bath on the day of Rishi Panchami. After this, clean the puja area. Place a chowki (raised platform) at the puja site and cover it with a red or yellow cloth. Then, place a picture of the Saptarishis there and fill a kalash with Gangaajal (Ganges water).
When starting the puja, offer Arghya (water offering) to the Saptarishis and show them a diya (lamp) and incense. After this, offer fruits, flowers, ghee, and Panchamrit. During the puja, chant mantras dedicated to the Saptarishis and ask for forgiveness for unintentional mistakes made in your life. After the puja is complete, distribute prasad among all the devotees.
