New Delhi: Residents of Delhi may face heavy traffic jams for the next four days. Due to a special event organized in the Rohini area, traffic will be affected on several major roads from October 30 to November 2, 2025. Delhi Traffic Police has appealed to people to check route information before traveling and try to avoid affected areas.

Traffic Jam Due to Event in Rohini

Considering the large cultural event to be held at Swarn Jayanti Park in Rohini, the Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic plan. On October 31, Swarn Jayanti Park and the entire surrounding area will remain closed, while on other days, congestion is anticipated from 6 AM to 10 PM.

During this period, traffic will be slow on Bhagwan Mahavir Road, KNK Marg, HL Parwana Road, Bawana Road, Kanjhawala Road, and Dahiya Badshah Marg. The movement of commercial vehicles has been temporarily restricted on these roads to manage congestion.

Diversion Plan Issued for Traffic

Police have suggested several alternative routes to prevent inconvenience to the general public. Residents of Rohini Sector have been advised to prioritize Maharaja Agrasen Marg and Dahiya Badshah Road.

Furthermore, diversions have been arranged for commercial vehicles at points such as Peera Garhi Chowk, Madhuban Chowk, Deepali Chowk, Mukarba Chowk, Mahadev Chowk, Kabutar Chowk, Wazirpur Depot, and Prag Bari Pul. Traffic Police have deployed additional personnel at these locations to guide drivers and prevent traffic jams.

Appeal to Commuters to Follow Traffic Rules

The Traffic Police has appealed to citizens for restraint and cooperation. The police have stated that before embarking on a journey, commuters must check route information from Delhi Traffic Police's official social media channels or apps.

Additionally, advice has been given to avoid unnecessary travel, refrain from wrong-side driving, and adhere to parking rules. Those who need to travel for essential purposes are recommended to use Delhi Metro or public transport.
