Russia's Night Attack on Kyiv: Missiles and Drones Claim Lives, Collapse Building

Russia attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones at night. The attack resulted in 6 deaths and 52 injuries. A nine-story building collapsed. Relief and rescue operations are underway.

Russia-Ukraine: Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, has once again been targeted by Russian attacks. This time, Russia launched a missile and drone attack on Kyiv in the darkness of night, resulting in the death of at least six people, including a six-year-old child, and injuring more than 52 civilians. The number of injured is expected to rise.

Direct Attack on Residential Areas, Nine-Story Building Collapsed

In this devastating attack, the most serious damage was sustained by a nine-story residential building in Kyiv, a large section of which completely collapsed after being hit by a missile. Hundreds of people lived in this building, including many families where all members were asleep. People were trapped under the rubble in this sudden attack. According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachénko, this attack has presented a major challenge to the safety and lives of ordinary citizens of Kyiv.

Efforts to Rescue People Trapped in Rubble Continue

Teams engaged in relief and rescue operations are constantly working to remove the rubble and extract the trapped people. Fire brigades, medical emergency teams, and local administration are working at the scene. However, the volume of rubble and the height of the building have made the rescue operation extremely complex and risky. According to eyewitnesses, there is an atmosphere of chaos and screaming around the building. Rescuers said that many people may still be alive under the rubble, and the search for them is continuing rapidly.

Attacks at 27 Different Locations

Tkachenko said that at least 27 locations in the city of Kyiv were attacked. The Solomianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts were the most affected by these attacks. Homes, vehicles, shops, and infrastructure of people living in these districts have suffered serious damage. The attack has also affected electricity, water, and communication services in the area. Local citizens were seen wandering in search of their relatives and neighbors.

President Zelenskyy Expresses Deep Sorrow

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed deep sorrow over this horrific incident. He posted on Telegram, saying that this Russian attack was aimed directly at taking the lives of civilians. Zelenskyy said that using missiles in residential areas is a cruel and inhuman act. He once again appealed to the international community to support Ukraine and impose tougher sanctions on Russia.
