Tej Pratap Yadav Announces Candidacy from Mahua, Hints at Rift with Tejashwi Yadav

Political activity has intensified in Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled for next year. In the midst of this, former Health Minister and Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, has announced that he will contest the 2025 elections from the Mahua Assembly seat. Currently, Tej Pratap is an MLA from Hasanpur, but he has begun preparations to return to his former constituency, Mahua.

In a conversation with a private channel, Tej Pratap said that he has worked in Mahua before and that there will be a "tournament" there this time. He stated that after being removed from the RJD, he is now giving a new direction to his political journey and Mahua is his priority.

If Tejashwi is Arjun, Let Him Remain Arjun

On the question of contesting from Mahua, Tej Pratap clearly stated that he will contest from this seat. When asked what would happen if his younger brother and Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, also decides to contest from Mahua, he gave a sharp reaction. He said that if Tejashwi is Arjun, let him remain Arjun. It is not yet possible to stand against him.

Tej Pratap's statement has stirred up political circles. The distance and differences in political strategies between the two brothers are now clearly visible on an open platform.

Targeted the RJD

Tej Pratap also openly expressed his views on the internal situation of the RJD. Targeting the party leadership, he said that he was removed, but there are still many people in the party who should be acted upon. Tej Pratap specifically named RJD MLA Bhai Virendra, saying that such people should be sent to jail.

He said that the party should not only take cosmetic action but should also keep an eye on everyone equally. Tej Pratap's statement has once again brought the ongoing discord within the RJD to the surface.

Does Not Talk to Mother-Father

When asked about the possibility of becoming Chief Minister, Tej Pratap said that the public decides the outcome. He said that power comes and goes, but it is the public that makes and breaks someone. When asked if his parents, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, would campaign for him, he said that he does not talk to his family anymore, so it is difficult to say whether they will come to campaign or not.

He also clarified that he is no longer a part of the RJD and has created his own separate political path. Tej Pratap appears to be fully active regarding the upcoming Bihar elections and is preparing to establish a b hold in Mahua.
