US President Donald Trump has once again reiterated his claim that America possesses enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world 150 times over. He stated that America remains number one in the world today.
Washington: US President Donald Trump has once again made a significant statement regarding America's global nuclear power. Trump said that the United States possesses enough nuclear weapons to destroy the entire world 150 times over. He declared America “number one” in nuclear capability, placing Russia and China behind.
Trump stated that he advocates for nuclear disarmament (Nuclear Disarmament) and wishes to establish peace in the world, but he also reiterated that if other countries are conducting nuclear tests, America will not hesitate to do the same.
‘We can destroy the world 150 times over’ – Trump
During a conversation with journalists at the White House, Trump said,
'America has enough nuclear weapons that we can destroy the world 150 times over. But my objective is not destruction, but peace. I believe that nuclear disarmament is a big and necessary thing.'
He also added that in terms of nuclear capability, America ranks first, Russia second, and China third. Trump stated that although Russia and China are currently behind, they could catch up in the next five years. "I have spoken with President Putin (Russia) and Xi Jinping (China). I told them that building such a large quantity of weapons and spending money is futile. We want this money to be invested in human development, technology, and welfare," Trump said.

Preparation to Resume Nuclear Testing
Trump's statement comes after he recently hinted at the possibility of resuming nuclear weapons testing in the US. He had also instructed the Ministry of Defense (Pentagon) to prepare in this direction. Last week, Trump said,
'You'll know very soon. We're going to do some testing, yes. Other countries are doing it, so if they can, why can't we?'
His statement has heightened global concerns about a new nuclear arms race. International experts say that if the US resumes nuclear tests, it could trigger new activities in countries like Russia, China, and North Korea.
Strong Stance on China and Russia
In his statement, Trump warned both Russia and China, asserting that the US possesses “the world's most advanced and powerful military force.” He stated that other countries might attempt to match America, but technically and strategically, they are still far behind. "Russia and China are behind us, but they are trying to catch up. They might come close in the next few years, but America will always be ahead. We will never compromise on our security," Trump said.
However, in his statement, Trump also reiterated that his goal is not war but global peace. He said that America will always ensure its security, but it views nuclear weapons as “a last resort.” "I want peace in the world. I want future generations to be free from the horrors of war. But we must also ensure that no country dares to challenge America," he added.
