SP removes all district and assembly in-charges ahead of UP elections. New list will be released soon on Akhilesh Yadav's instructions. This is a major step to strengthen the party organization and prepare it for the upcoming elections.
UP Election: Ahead of the upcoming Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh and the 2027 Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has made a major change in its organization. On the instructions of party National President Akhilesh Yadav, all current in-charges of district and assembly constituencies have been removed with immediate effect. The objective of this move is said to be to streamline the party organization and ensure b preparations for the upcoming elections.
SP's chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said that state president Shyamlal Pal has issued instructions to remove all district and assembly in-charges as per the orders of Akhilesh Yadav. The aim behind this is to ensure effective leadership and better performance in the party organization.
Why were the current in-charges removed?
According to party leaders, the in-charges who have been removed were appointed at different times for different responsibilities. Many in-charges were created during the "Apna Booth Karo Mazboot" (Strengthen Your Booth) campaign, but over time, their efficiency and contribution to the organization were not seen as satisfactory.
Complaints from some leaders had reached Akhilesh Yadav directly. These complaints were mainly related to the slow pace of execution in the organization, lack of effective control, and weak organizational management at the booth level. For this reason, Akhilesh Yadav decided that new in-charges should be leaders who can work bly in their district or assembly constituency and effectively advance the party's goals.
New list to be released soon
SP sources said that the party will soon release the list of new district and assembly in-charges. While selecting the new in-charges, it will be kept in mind that they strengthen the organization and effectively implement the election strategy.
This organizational change of SP has clearly been done keeping in mind the 2027 assembly elections. The party leadership believes that a b organizational structure is the key to electoral success. With the announcement of the new in-charges, the party will ensure effective functioning from the booth level to the district and assembly level.
Akhilesh Yadav targets BJP
Amidst this organizational change, Akhilesh Yadav also launched a sharp attack on the central government and the BJP. Referring to the 130th Amendment Bill 2025 of the Constitution, he said that the government brings such laws so that it remains in power forever. He said, "Those who dig pits for others, ultimately fall into it themselves. All dictatorial governments of the world bring similar laws from time to time, but no government has been able to last. Italy, Germany, Russia are examples of this."
He also alleged that the PDA community is constantly facing injustice and oppression. Akhilesh Yadav said that the government is discriminating and the reservation given by Babasaheb Ambedkar is being taken away. Apart from this, he also said that jobs, employment, and reservation are not on the agenda of the BJP government.
SP's Organizational Structure and Upcoming Strategy
The main objective of SP's organizational change is to ensure that every district and assembly constituency level of the party is under b leadership. Priority will be given to those leaders in the selection of new in-charges who can implement the party's policies at the local level and strengthen the party's identity among the public.
