A tragic and shocking incident has come to light from Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. Here, a 24-year-old woman working at the house of senior Congress leader and former MLA Nilanshu Chaturvedi, committed suicide by shooting herself. The incident has created a sensation in the area, while the police are engaged in investigating the entire matter.
Family Tension May Be the Reason for Suicide
The incident is from Chitrakoot police station area of Satna, where the deceased Suman Nishad had been working at the house of former MLA Nilanshu Chaturvedi with her mother for many years. According to the police, Suman was engaged to be married and had been talking to someone on the phone in recent days. This led to disputes at home on several occasions. Police suspect that Suman may have taken this drastic step due to family stress or some personal reason.
Suicide with Former MLA's Wife's Licensed Weapon
Police investigation has revealed that the pistol with which Suman committed suicide is a licensed weapon in the name of the former MLA's wife. The incident took place inside the house, causing panic among the entire family and the surrounding area. Upon receiving the information, the police team, along with forensic experts, reached the spot and collected evidence from the scene.
Satna Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Gupta said that a preliminary investigation is being conducted in the matter. He also said that Suman's mother and the former MLA's family are being questioned to clarify the real reason for the suicide.
Political Journey of Former MLA Nilanshu Chaturvedi
Nilanshu Chaturvedi is considered a prominent leader of the Congress. He was elected MLA for the first time in 2018 from the Chitrakoot assembly seat in Satna district and also contested from the same seat as a Congress candidate in 2023. He belongs to the prestigious Choubey Raj family of Chitrakoot and is considered a public representative with a clean image. However, with this incident of suicide in his house, his name has also come into discussion.
