Chhattisgarh CM Addresses Human Trafficking Concerns in Narayanpur Case

The case of taking three minor daughters from Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh under the guise of nursing training and jobs has taken a major political and social turn. Taking a strict stance on this incident, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has clarified that the state government gives top priority to the safety and respect of women. He said that it is extremely unfortunate to link this sensitive issue with politics.

CM Expresses Deep Concern

Chief Minister Sai said that based on the preliminary investigation, there is a possibility of human trafficking and forced conversion in this entire matter. This issue is not limited to law and order, but it is also a direct attack on our social fabric and the dignity of women. He assured that the government is investigating this entire matter with transparency and sensitivity and strict action will be taken against the culprits.

He also informed that the judicial process of the case is going on and all aspects are being seriously investigated. The Chief Minister said that the law will take its course and no culprit will be spared.

Politicization of Such Incidents Unfortunate

CM Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a peaceful and inclusive state, where people of all religions and communities live in harmony. In such a situation, giving a political colour to such incidents related to the daughters of Bastar is very unfortunate. He appealed that when the subject is related to the safety of daughters, it should not be seen from a political point of view.

Three Accused Arrested

Significantly, on July 25, three people, including two Catholic nuns, were arrested from Durg railway station. The action was taken after a complaint by a local Bajrang Dal worker, in which it was alleged that all three accused were trying to forcibly convert and traffic the girls from Narayanpur. Police have registered an FIR in the matter and started investigation.

The government has clarified that no compromise will be made with the safety of daughters and strictest action will be taken against the culprits.
