Increase in Annual Clothing Assistance Scheme

The Chief Minister announced that under the Annual Clothing Assistance Scheme, each registered construction worker will now receive assistance of Rs 5,000. Previously, this amount was Rs 2,500. The government's objective through this scheme is to provide social security to the workers and integrate them into the mainstream. The CM stated, "We are continuously striving to bring the people at the last rung of society into the mainstream. Our labor brothers and sisters have made an invaluable contribution in achieving new dimensions of development in various sectors of the state, and the government is constantly working for them."

Chief Minister's Pledge Scheme: Opportunities for Youth Employment and Skill Development

The Chief Minister's Pledge Scheme is an ambitious initiative of the state government, with the primary objective of making the youth of Bihar employable and training them in the vocational sector. Under this scheme, structured internship opportunities will be provided to the youth in the manufacturing and service sectors. In the financial year 2025-26, 5,000 internship opportunities will be made available, while the target is to provide 20,000 opportunities each year over the next five years. In total, 1,05,000 internship opportunities will be made available to the youth under this scheme.

The CM said, "This initiative will prepare Bihar's youth for employment and provide them with practical experience along with financial support. This scheme will prove to be an important step towards the state's skill development and inclusive progress."

Digital Platform: Connecting Industries and Youth on One Platform

The Chief Minister's Pledge Scheme will be operated through a dedicated digital platform. This platform will help bring youth and industries together, providing them with internship and employment opportunities. Through this portal, employers and youth will be able to register and avail internship opportunities. The digital platform will serve as a transformative bridge connecting industry needs with the aspirations of the youth.

The Annual Clothing Assistance Scheme was initiated in 2020 for eligible and registered construction workers under the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Rules, 2016, under the Labour Resource Department. Financial assistance has been provided to lakhs of workers under this scheme so far. Addressing the workers and youth, the CM said, "Our goal is not just the implementation of schemes, but to ensure their actual benefits. The Chief Minister's Pledge Scheme will play a significant role in providing employment, experience, and self-reliance to the youth of Bihar."
