Shankaracharya Endorses Naresh Meena in Anta By-Election Over Cow Protection Pledge

Independent candidate Naresh Meena has received the support of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj in the Anta Assembly by-election. Influenced by his pledge of cow protection, the Maharaj has appealed to the people of Anta to vote for Naresh Meena.

Baran: The by-election for Rajasthan's Anta Assembly seat is no longer limited to politics but has taken on religious and social dimensions as well. Independent candidate Naresh Meena had previously received the support of Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, and now he has also received the blessings of Jyotish Peeth's Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. The Maharaj has issued a video message appealing to voters in support of Naresh Meena, who has taken a pledge for cow protection.

Shankaracharya Pleased by Cow Protection Pledge

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati said in his video message that many candidates are in the fray in the Anta Assembly constituency, but none could pledge to "protect Gau Mata." He stated that even after 78 years of independence, cow slaughter has not stopped, even though it is a matter connected to the soul of India.

The Maharaj stated that he was pleased to learn that Naresh Meena, a youth from the Anta region, has publicly pledged that if he wins, he will dedicate his life to the protection of Gau Mata. The Maharaj said, "Naresh has not only taken a pledge but has also assured the entire society that he will always be ready for Dharma and Gau Seva (service to cows)."

Narottam Pareek Withdraws Nomination in Support of Naresh Meena

The Shankaracharya stated that he was initially considering fielding a person named Narottam Pareek with the objective of cow protection. However, when Naresh Meena made a clear pledge for the protection of Gau Mata, Pareek withdrew his nomination in support of Naresh Meena.

He said, "We have always worked for Dharma and national interest. When a youth himself pledges to protect Gau Mata, it becomes our duty to support him. Naresh Meena is now not just a candidate but a symbol of cow protection."

Appeals to Voters to Cast Their Vote in the Name of Gau Mata

Making an emotional appeal to the voters of the Anta region, the Maharaj said, "Until now, you have voted in the name of electricity, water, and roads. This time, cast your vote in the name of protecting Gau Mata. This will not just be about Anta, but a message will go out to the entire country that the people of India have now awakened for the dignity of Gau Mata."

He further added, "Governments that were indifferent to the protection of Gau Mata until now will be forced to listen to the voice of the people." The Maharaj appealed to the voters to press the button for Naresh Meena's 'Sugarcane and Farmer' election symbol.
