The alleged fraud case of 60 crore rupees against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra continues to be in the news. Due to this case, Mumbai Police has issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against both, restricting their foreign travel.

Entertainment News: Actress Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra have been in the news for the past few months concerning a 60 crore fraud case. In this matter, both are embroiled in legal complications, and their foreign travel has also been restricted. A Mumbai-based businessman had filed a 60 crore fraud case against Shilpa and Raj. Following this, Mumbai Police issued a Lookout Circular against them, preventing them from leaving the country.

Shilpa filed a petition in court to quash this lookout notice. Today, the court, remarking on the matter, has placed a condition before Shilpa. The court stated that if she wishes to travel abroad, she must first obtain approval.

Shilpa Wishes to Travel Abroad for a YouTube Event

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra had already planned foreign travel for a Phuket vacation between October 2 and 5. However, due to the Lookout Circular, their plans failed. Now, Shilpa wishes to travel abroad to participate in a YouTube event. For this, she filed a petition in court to cancel the LOC.

Hearing this petition, the court stated that if Shilpa Shetty wishes to travel abroad, she must first secure the necessary approval; only then will she be granted permission to go abroad.

Court's Strict Condition

The court clarified that before granting permission for foreign travel, Shilpa Shetty must complete the necessary sanction and approval process. This will ensure that Shilpa and Raj Kundra's responsibility and legal standing in the alleged 60 crore rupee fraud case remain clear. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police has named Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra as accused. Due to the LOC, the couple's foreign travel has been impossible so far. The court stated that if she wishes to go abroad, she must first secure approval, only after which will she be allowed to participate in the YouTube event.

What is the Fraud Case?

In August 2025, businessman Deepak Kothari accused Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra of 60 crore rupees fraud. Deepak Kothari claims that he gave this amount to both of them for business between 2015 and 2023. However, he alleges that Raj Kundra and Shilpa used it for personal expenses, not for business.

Deepak Kothari repeatedly asked Shilpa and Raj for the money back, but he has not received the amount so far. Following this, he initiated legal action and took the matter to court.
