The central government has taken a firm step regarding the security of Union Agriculture Minister and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Following recent inputs from the Ministry of Home Affairs, his security arrangements have been further strengthened.
New Delhi: The government has taken a significant step concerning the security of Madhya Pradesh's former Chief Minister and Union Agriculture Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Based on intelligence inputs received from the Ministry of Home Affairs, his security has been enhanced. Barricades have also been erected in front of his residences in Delhi and Bhopal. The Union Agriculture Minister already had Z+ category security, but following recent inputs, the central government has issued instructions to further strengthen his security cover.
Security Increased Despite Z+ Protection
Shivraj Singh Chauhan already enjoyed Z+ category security, which is considered the highest level of security in India's security system. This security involves the deployment of Central Security Force (CRPF) personnel and continuous monitoring of his residence and movements. However, following recent inputs from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the central government directed additional security measures to be taken.
Based on the inputs sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs, instructions have been issued to the Madhya Pradesh DGP, the Special Commissioner of Police (Security) of Delhi Police, and the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh to ensure that there is no lapse in the security of the Union Minister. Following these instructions, security arrangements have been tightened in both Bhopal and Delhi.
Additional barricading and police deployment have been carried out around his residence, B-8, 74 Bungalow, in Bhopal. Similarly, security has been further strengthened outside his government residence in Delhi.

Additional security personnel have also been deployed outside the residence in Delhi. Security agencies are continuously monitoring the situation and are prepared to deal with any unforeseen circumstances.
The input sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs is considered crucial behind this increase in security.
