Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to Hold Key Meeting Amid Alleged Ram Temple Donation Case

ported resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, administrative matters, and issues related to the ongoing investigation into the alleged Ram Temple donation case, in which eight people have been arrested so far.

A key meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is scheduled to be held in Ayodhya on Monday amid the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case. The meeting is expected to discuss the resignations of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, while several decisions on the Trust's administrative structure and future functioning may also be considered.

The meeting will begin at 3 pm at the Yatri Suvidha Kendra within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex. Most Trust members are expected to attend in person, while some will participate through virtual mode.

This will be the Trust's first major meeting since the alleged irregularities and theft related to temple donations came into the public domain. The developments have raised questions regarding temple administration and financial management.

According to sources, the meeting may review the Trust's functioning and consider new security and monitoring mechanisms to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The reported resignations of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra are expected to be among the key agenda items. However, the Trust has not made any official announcement regarding the matter.

The members are also expected to deliberate on the appointment of new office-bearers or the redistribution of responsibilities within the Trust. If such decisions are taken, they could result in changes to the organisational structure of the Ram Temple Trust.

The alleged Ram Temple donation case first came to light on June 5. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted on June 13 in view of the seriousness of the matter.

Based on the preliminary investigation, eight people have been arrested so far. Investigating agencies are examining alleged financial irregularities, security arrangements and various aspects related to the management of temple donations. The investigation is continuing, and the concerned authorities have not ruled out any possibility until the final findings are reached.

Several senior Trust members and religious leaders are expected to participate in the meeting. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, Yugpurush Swami Parmanand and Krishnamohan have already arrived in Ayodhya.

Trust Treasurer Govinddev Giri, Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra, Swami Vishwaprasannatirtha and other members are also expected to attend. Senior legal expert and trustee K. Parasaran, along with some other members, will participate virtually.

Treasurer Govinddev Giri has urged all Trust members to attend the meeting so that important decisions can be taken with consensus.

The Ram Temple is one of the country's most important religious and cultural projects. The Trust's administrative decisions continue to draw attention from devotees and observers in India and abroad.

Experts believe that the decisions taken at the meeting could influence not only the handling of the current controversy but also the long-term transparency, financial management and accountability of the temple administration.
