During the counting that lasted for nine days, a sum exceeding 28 crore, 1.835 kg of gold, and 143.780 kg of silver, along with foreign currency, were received. This offering has marked a new chapter in the temple's history.
According to the temple administration, the counting of the donation box was conducted in the presence of temple board officials, the president, and its members. The counting commenced after the Rajbhog aarti on Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha and was completed in nine phases.
Donation Counting in Nine Phases
In the first phase, ₹8 crore 90 lakh was counted. The second phase yielded ₹4 crore 60 lakh, and the third phase amounted to ₹3 crore 86 lakh 50 thousand. The fourth phase saw ₹2 crore 50 lakh, the fifth phase ₹2 crore 10 lakh, the sixth phase ₹84 lakh, the seventh phase ₹42 lakh, the eighth phase ₹1 crore 50 lakh, and the ninth phase counted ₹22 lakh 12 thousand 206 rupees.
Typically, the donation box counting is completed in six to seven rounds. However, this time, due to the devotees' immense faith, the amount was distributed over nine phases, making it the longest counting session to date. This illustrates the deep faith and generosity of the devotees towards the temple.
Offering of Gold, Silver, and Foreign Currency
In addition to the cash, this offering also included 1.835 kg of gold and 143.780 kg of silver. Furthermore, foreign currency notes were also found in the donation box, further enriching the temple's treasury.
