Sri Lanka XI scored 363 runs for eight wickets in 90 overs on the opening day of the warm-up match against India in Colombo ahead of the Test series.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, Sri Lanka XI openers Nishan Madushka and Ravindu Rasantha added 110 runs for the first wicket. Madushka scored 66 off 65 balls, including 11 fours and one six, before being dismissed run out.
Rasantha contributed 71 runs to give the top order a b foundation.

After the opening partnership was broken, Sri Lanka XI continued to add runs. Pasindu Sooriyabandara scored 35, while Pawan Rathnayake made 39. Ahan Wickramasinghe added 31 runs.
Sri Lanka XI captain Sonal Dinusha scored 52 off 71 balls, including five fours and one six. He added useful partnerships with wicketkeeper Anjala Bandara and later Ramesh Mendis.
At stumps, Sri Lanka XI were 363 for eight after 90 overs.
India used seven bowlers during the opening day, but most of them were unable to consistently control the scoring rate. Several bowlers conceded at more than four runs per over.
Ravindra Jadeja was India's most successful bowler, taking two wickets. Kuldeep Yadav and Manav Suthar also claimed two wickets each, while Gurnoor Brar took one wicket.
