The application process for the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 is ending today. Candidates who have not yet applied have one final opportunity to complete their registration. The Commission has also provided a correction window from June 29 to July 1, 2026, for making changes to submitted application forms.
The SSC CGL 2026 recruitment examination is one of the most widely participated government recruitment examinations in the country. Through this examination, recruitment is conducted for Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in various ministries, departments, and offices of the Central Government. A total of 12,256 vacancies will be filled under the current recruitment drive.
The Commission has allowed candidates to make corrections to their application forms after submission. According to the official schedule, the correction window will remain open from June 29 to July 1, 2026. During this period, candidates will be able to rectify errors in their applications. Applicants have been advised to fill in all details carefully while submitting the form.
Candidates applying for SSC CGL 2026 must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institution. Additional educational requirements may apply for certain posts, details of which are available in the official notification.
The age limit will be calculated as of August 1, 2026. The minimum age required is 18 years, while the maximum age varies by post and ranges from 27 years to 32 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.
The application fee has been fixed at Rs 100 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories. Candidates from SC, ST and other eligible categories have been exempted from paying the application fee. The fee can be paid through online mode.
Candidates are required to visit the official SSC website and complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process. After logging in, they must open the application link and enter the required personal, educational and other details. Applicants must then upload their photograph, signature and necessary documents. After payment of the application fee, candidates should submit the form and keep a printout for future reference.
