SSC MTS & Havaldar 2025 Exam Postponed: New Dates Expected in October/November, Admit Card Information

The SSC MTS and Havaldar Recruitment Examination 2025 could not be held on the scheduled dates. The examination is now likely to take place in October or November. Candidates will download their online admit cards. A CBT-based selection process will be conducted for a total of 8,021 posts.

SSC MTS 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruitment examination for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar posts was scheduled to be held from September 20 to October 4, 2025. However, due to some reason, the examination could not commence on its scheduled time. Consequently, candidates who applied for this recruitment are now awaiting new exam dates. According to reports, SSC will soon release a notification sharing detailed information related to the recruitment.

When might the examination be conducted?

It is expected by the SSC that the MTS and Havaldar examination will be conducted in October or November 2025. An Exam City Slip will be issued for candidates approximately 7 to 10 days prior to the new examination date. This slip will provide candidates with complete information about their examination center and city. Meanwhile, the Admit Card will be released online 3-4 days before the examination date. No admit card will be sent to any candidate by post or any other offline means.

How to Download Admit Card and City Slip

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download the SSC MTS examination admit card and city slip.

  • First, visit the official website ssc.gov.in.
  • On the homepage, find and click on the link related to Exam City Intimation Slip / Admit Card.
  • Enter the required information such as registration number, roll number, and date of birth.
  • After submitting, your admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Download it and keep a printout safe.

Examination Pattern

The SSC MTS and Havaldar recruitment examination will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The examination will consist of two papers:

Paper 1: Will have 20 questions from Numerical & Mathematical Ability and 20 questions from Reasoning & Problem Solving.

Paper 2: Will have 25 questions from General Awareness and 25 questions from English Language & Comprehension.
Candidates will be given a total of 45 minutes to solve both papers.

Through this recruitment, a total of 8,021 posts will be filled. This includes both Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar positions. The selection of candidates in the recruitment process will be based on preliminary and main examinations.
