  • Bulk Orders or Mutual Fund transactions will be processed on the next business day due to the holiday.
  • If you use a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) or auto-debit transaction, it will be processed on the next working day.
  • Scheduled orders on robo-advisors or auto-trading platforms will also not be executed on this day.

Therefore, investors are advised to check the list of holidays on the official website of NSE or BSE before scheduling any order or investment.

What to do After a Market Holiday

If you are an active trader, a holiday is an excellent opportunity to review your investment strategy. You can check your portfolio's performance, look at companies' quarterly results, and prepare new trading strategies for the coming week.

For long-term investors, it is also a good time to focus on market trends and sector analysis. Keeping an eye on global markets during the holiday can be beneficial as their movements might impact the opening of the Indian market on the next day.
