A brutal murder of a student, who also worked as a labourer, has come to light in the Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. It is being reported that late on Saturday night, some youths abducted the student in a car and brutally beat him, resulting in his death during the assault.
An investigation was initiated following a complaint from a family member. On Sunday morning, the student's body was found by the banks of the Gomti river at Ibrahimpur Ghat in Pratapgarh district, and it was identified by his family. The news of the murder sent a wave of shock through the area.
The police have registered a case against ten named individuals in connection with the incident. So far, two accused have been arrested, while the search for the remaining accused is ongoing.
Neighbours and villagers have described this incident as extremely malicious and heinous. This cowardly act, carried out by the youths in broad daylight, has instilled both concern and fear in the region.
