Tejashwi Yadav's Voter Booth Changes Spark Rumors, Administration Clarifies

Tejashwi Yadav's Booth Separated from Family in Bihar's Special Revision. Rumors Spread, but Administration Confirmed His Name is on the List. The Change Occurred Due to Technical Reasons.

Bihar Election: Discussions surrounding former Deputy Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, began on Friday when the draft voter list released under the Special Intensive Revision Campaign showed his name separated from other family members. Following this change, rumors spread in political and social circles that Tejashwi Yadav's name had been removed from the voter list.

However, the district administration later clarified that Tejashwi Yadav's name is present in the voter list, but his booth number and serial number have changed.

District Administration Issues Clarification After Rumors

As soon as the news spread that Tejashwi Yadav's name was missing from the voter list, the matter came to the attention of the district administration. Subsequently, the District Magistrate cum District Election Officer of Patna, Dr. Tyagrajan SM, ordered an investigation into the matter. The investigation revealed that Tejashwi's name is on the list, but his polling station has been changed.

According to the administration, Tejashwi Yadav's name was previously recorded at polling station number 171, serial number 481, but he has now been moved to polling station number 204, serial number 416. His polling station is still the library building of the Bihar Veterinary College.

What is the Real Reason for the Change?

The district administration has attributed this change to technical restructuring. According to officials, changes in voter serial numbers and booth numbers are a normal part of the Special Intensive Revision Campaign. There is no political motive behind it, and it should not be seen as an error or deletion. The administration stated that the booth numbers of many voters have been changed throughout the district, including ordinary people, former officials, and even the Leader of the Opposition.

Is Identification Possible with the EPIC Number?

Tejashwi Yadav's EPIC number (voter ID card number) is RAB0456228. He had provided the same number during his nomination for the 2020 Assembly elections. Confirmation of the name can be done in the voter list using the EPIC number. In such a situation, the claim of name removal proved to be completely false.

Changes in Booths of Other Senior Citizens Also

Not only Tejashwi Yadav, but also the names of former IAS officer Vyas Ji and his wife Meera Mishra have been transferred to different booths during the special revision. This shows that the booth change process is widespread and not done for just one individual.

Appeal from the Administration

The administration has appealed to all voters to check the draft voter list. If any voter notices an error in their name, address, or booth number, they can fill out Form No. 8 to make corrections. This form can be submitted through the BLO (Booth Level Officer) or on the online portal.
