US and Israel Plan Joint End to Gaza Conflict, Expecting Hamas Disarmament

US President Trump's Envoy Claims US and Israel are Planning a Joint End to the Gaza Conflict, Expecting Hamas to Disarm and Cooperate in Reconstruction.

Israel Hamas Conflict: Amid decades of conflict in Gaza, a new plan has emerged, raising hopes for an end to this protracted war. US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, recently claimed that the United States and Israel are jointly working on a concrete and lasting plan to establish peace in the Gaza Strip. He says this plan could "permanently end" the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Plan for Gaza Reconstruction and Hamas's Position

According to Steve Witkoff, the Trump administration is working with Israel to rebuild Gaza. This includes plans to develop infrastructure, restore health services, education, and other amenities. He also claims that Hamas, which has controlled Gaza since 2007, is now ready to end the war and lay down its arms.

Although no official statement has yet been issued by the White House or the Israeli Prime Minister's Office regarding this plan, Witkoff's statement suggests that negotiations have progressed significantly.

Hamas's Conditions for Laying Down Arms

Hamas has so far made it clear that it will only lay down its arms when Palestine is recognized as an independent nation with East Jerusalem as its capital. This demand has long been a core issue for the Palestinians.

More than 50 Israeli hostages are still held by Hamas in Gaza. According to reports, only about 20 of them are still alive. A recent video went viral showing a hostage digging his own grave, which has further heightened the sensitivity and seriousness of the issue.

International Pressure and the Role of Mediator Countries

The role of other countries in ending the Gaza conflict is also becoming increasingly important. Countries such as Qatar, Egypt, France, and Saudi Arabia are constantly putting pressure on Hamas to lay down its arms and be prepared for peace talks. These countries have also begun working on a plan to hand over the political responsibility of Gaza to the Palestinian Authority, an institution supported by Western countries.

Humanitarian Crisis and the Situation in Gaza

The humanitarian crisis has reached its peak due to the long-running conflict in Gaza. Severe shortages of health facilities, scarcity of electricity and water, and unemployment have become common problems. In addition, the supply of food and medicines is also disrupted.

Recently, there have been reports of attacks on aid distribution sites in Gaza, which have further worsened the situation. Various human rights organizations have described the situation in Gaza as a "humanitarian tragedy" and "bloodshed." In such circumstances, this plan could become a new ray of hope for the people of Gaza.
