The Congress party is preparing to bly raise the issue of 'vote theft' nationwide. As part of this, the party will organize a large rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi in the last week of this month.

New Delhi: The Congress is preparing to give prominence to the issue of 'vote theft'. Following Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi's accusation of vote theft in Haryana, the party is set to organize a major rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan in the last week of November. After this rally, a Congress delegation will meet the President and submit approximately five crore signatures collected during the 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod' (Vote Thief, Leave the Throne) signature campaign. This move is part of the Congress's active political efforts to protect the electoral process and democratic rights.

Rally Preparations and Objectives

The Congress has launched a nationwide 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod' signature campaign. In this campaign, party leaders and workers are collecting signatures from voters at the state level. On November 8, this campaign will conclude at the state level in state capitals, with the presence of senior leaders. Subsequently, all signatures will be sent to the Congress headquarters in Delhi.

At the headquarters, these signatures will be submitted to the President by senior party leaders. The rally's objective is not merely to submit signatures, but also to spread awareness among the public about 'vote security' and the importance of the democratic process.

Rahul Gandhi Again Alleges 'Vote Theft'

Congress's former president and Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, recently addressed an election rally in Banka, Bihar, leveling serious allegations against the BJP. He stated that the BJP had stolen votes in the Haryana assembly elections and that the same attempt was being made in Bihar. Rahul Gandhi alleged that:

  • Out of two crore voters in Haryana, 29 lakh were bogus voters.
  • The name of a Brazilian woman was included in the voter list at multiple booths.
  • BJP leaders voted in Bihar after casting their votes in Delhi.
  • The same was done in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana, and now there's an attempt to repeat it in Bihar.

Rahul Gandhi stated that the Election Commission is not taking these matters seriously, and the country's democratic process is at risk. He appealed to the public to exercise their rights and thwart such attempts. Rahul Gandhi also alleged that the BJP is working in the interest of industrialists, particularly large business groups like Adani and Ambani.

He claimed that the party is involved in unconstitutional activities like 'vote theft' to influence election results for their benefit. The Congress leader emphasized that the people of Bihar will not tolerate this and will raise their voices against this process.
