Chhattisgarh: The Naxal eradication campaign in Chhattisgarh is continuously moving towards major success. In the encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Gariyaband district, 10 Naxalites have been killed so far. This includes Modem Balakrishna alias Manoj, a Rs 1 crore prize-winning and big leader of the central committee. On this major success, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the false ideology of Naxalites is now breathing its last, and the state is moving towards a new dawn of faith, development, and peace.
Historic Encounter in Gariyaband
On Friday, security forces launched a major operation against Naxalites in Gariyaband district. This operation proved historic against the Naxal leaders and their associates who had been active for a long time. In this encounter, security forces eliminated 10 Naxalites.
The biggest success came when Modem Balakrishna alias Manoj, a member of the central committee and a Naxalite carrying a reward of crores of rupees, was killed in the operation. Manoj was considered very powerful within the Naxal organization and had been on the radar of security agencies for a long time.
Wave of Surrender in Narayanpur
Along with Gariyaband, major success has also been achieved on the Naxal front in Narayanpur district. Here, a total of 16 Naxalites have surrendered, vowing to return to the mainstream of society.
Those who surrendered include members of the Janatana Sarkar, deputy commanders of the Panchayat Militia, members of the Panchayat Sarkar, and presidents of the justice wing. This is a clear indication that the Naxal organization's grip is weakening, and now their cadres are choosing the path of peace by laying down their arms.
Statement by CM Vishnu Deo Sai
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, while issuing a statement on this major success, said that these incidents are proof that the false ideology of Naxalites is now breathing its last. A new dawn of faith, development, and peace is emerging in Chhattisgarh. The CM stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, they are confident that the resolve for a Naxal-free India will be realized by March 2026.
Congratulations to the Jawans
The CM congratulated all the jawans who achieved success on the Naxal front in Gariyaband and Narayanpur districts. He lauded the bravery of the jawans of CRPF's Cobra Commando, Chhattisgarh Police, and DRG (District Reserve Guard).
The CM said that this is a historic achievement and it proves that our jawans are engaged with full strength and courage in eliminating Naxal terrorism.
Major Statement by Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also made a significant statement regarding the encounter in Gariyaband district. He said that security forces have achieved another major accomplishment against Naxalites. Jawans of CRPF's Cobra Commando, Chhattisgarh Police, and DRG, in a joint operation, have eliminated 10 notorious Naxalites, including the Rs 1 crore prize-winning Modem Balakrishna alias Manoj.
Amit Shah said that the remaining Naxalites should also surrender in time. He expressed confidence that the complete end of red terror from the country is certain before March 31.
