Khali’s Journey in WWE

This towering 7’1” legend also won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2007. During his time in WWE, Khali participated in numerous high-profile matches, including defeating Kane at WrestleMania 23 and facing off against John Cena.
In June 2007, Khali won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first and only time, defeating 20 men in a Royal Battle Match, which he held for nearly three months. Khali also captivated fans with his entertaining characters, such as the ‘Punjabi Playboy.’ However, his WWE contract expired in November 2014, and he left the company. Subsequently, he dedicated himself to promoting Indian professional wrestling.
Khali Announces Return to the Ring
In 2015, Khali established Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) in Jalandhar. Khali’s initiative proved to be a milestone for Indian wrestling. Furthermore, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, symbolizing his contributions and global recognition.
Khali was last seen in action at the 2018 WWE Greatest Royal Rumble. Now, CWE has announced his return to the ring in January 2026 via social media. His match will be against Parker Borchardt.
