New history has been made in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025. Trinbago Knight Riders, captained by Kieron Pollard, have asserted their dominance by winning the CPL title for the fifth time.

Trinbago Knight Riders created new history by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final to clinch the CPL 2025 title. This match was played at Providence Stadium in Guyana, where the team captained by Nicholas Pooran displayed excellent cricket.

The final match was played at Providence Stadium in Guyana. Batting first, the Guyana Amazon Warriors team could only manage 130 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed played the highest innings for the team with 30 runs. Additionally, Ben McDermott scored 28 and Pretorius scored 25 runs, helping the team reach a respectable total.
Trinbago Knight Riders' bowling completely controlled Guyana's batting. Saurabh Netravalkar took 3 wickets, while Akeal Hosein claimed 2 wickets. Andre Russell and Usman Tariq each contributed significantly to the team's victory by taking one wicket.

Chasing a target of 131 runs, Trinbago's batsmen displayed excellent cricket. The team won the match with 7 wickets down and 2 overs remaining. Opening batsmen Alex Hales scored 26 and Colin Munro scored 23, providing a b start. Sunil Narine (22) and Kieron Pollard (21) then guided the team to the title.
