In Lucknow, two youths died on the spot in a road accident involving alleged overspeeding and negligence. According to information, the youths were travelling on a motorcycle when it collided with another motorcycle, after which their vehicle went out of control and crashed into a roadside pole.
Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred with a loud impact. The collision was reportedly so severe that both youths fell onto the road and sustained serious injuries.
People present at the scene immediately informed police and ambulance services, but both youths had died by then.
The Uttar Pradesh Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem examination. Police have taken the damaged vehicles into custody and started an investigation.
Police are also examining CCTV camera footage installed nearby to ascertain the cause of the accident. Information is being gathered regarding the riders of the other motorcycle involved.
The Uttar Pradesh Police has appealed to people to follow traffic rules and drive at safe speeds.
