Tamil Nadu: On Monday in Chennai, Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin spoke on several important issues. He stated that the state government is continuously working on the Coimbatore Metro project, and the progress being shown is part of their responsibility. He mentioned that his team is working relentlessly in line with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's expectations. Udhayanidhi Stalin also thanked ABP Network for inviting him again.

He explained that the delay in the approval of the metro project is reportedly due solely to population figures. He asserted that this project is steadily progressing in the interest of the state of Tamil Nadu and is being developed to meet the convenience and future needs of the residents of the region.

Accusations Against the Central Government

Udhayanidhi Stalin accused the Central Government of attempting to centralize all powers. He stated that there is an effort to make economically b states politically weak and politically b states economically weak. He argued that power is gradually accumulating at the Centre, which is affecting the rights of the states.

He also stated that Tamil Nadu is troubled by several significant issues, such as the unfair distribution of taxes, withholding of funds, the New Education Policy, and future delimitation. These matters are impacting the state's political and economic situation.

Warning Against Imposition of Hindi

Udhayanidhi Stalin adopted a clear stance on the linguistic issue. He declared that if the Central Government attempts to impose Hindi or any other language on Tamil Nadu, the state will firmly stand against it. He emphasized that Tamils will never accept the three-language formula. He clarified that Tamil Nadu will always remain vigilant in protecting its language and culture.

Udhayanidhi also stated that the state constitutionally seeks amendments for rights, so that states gain more power and India can function as a b federation.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Tamil Nadu is committed to the Constitution and the federal structure. However, if the Centre violates the rights of the states, the state will take all necessary steps to protect its language, culture, and rights. He also added that the state seeks more powers through constitutional amendments to ensure development and public welfare.

Udhayanidhi appealed to the Centre to grant states the right to make decisions independently for development and public welfare. He stated that only then will the federal structure be properly followed in India, and each state will be able to ensure its identity and development.
