Varanasi. Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has implemented a special bill waiver and rebate scheme for the year 2025-26 to provide relief to electricity consumers. This scheme will benefit approximately 2 lakh 6 thousand consumers in Varanasi district.
Under the scheme, consumers will be granted a 100% surcharge waiver, while a rebate ranging from 15% to 25% has been fixed on the principal outstanding amount. UPPCL has decided to implement this scheme in three phases to enable a maximum number of consumers to avail its benefits.

Consumers will be able to choose between a one-time payment option or monthly installments.
