The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 132 Junior Engineer Agriculture posts. The online application process will begin on September 17, 2026, and eligible candidates will be able to apply until October 7, 2026. The application form can be modified until October 14, 2026.
132 Junior Engineer Agriculture Posts
The recruitment includes 54 posts for the General category, 13 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 43 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 23 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and one for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Educational Qualification and Eligibility
Candidates applying for the Junior Engineer Agriculture posts must have a PET-2025 scorecard and must have passed Class 12 from a recognized institution.
The required educational qualification is a three-year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from the Education Council, Uttar Pradesh. Candidates holding an equivalent qualification recognized by the government or a relevant qualification approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) may also apply according to the prescribed rules.
The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories may receive relaxation in the maximum age limit as per government rules.
Eligible candidates will be able to submit their applications online through the official UPSSSC website.
Written Examination Details
Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination. The examination will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. Candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the question paper. Negative marking will apply, with one-fourth mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
Questions will cover various subjects related to Agricultural Engineering, including Farm Power Engineering, IC Engine, Tractor, Non-Conventional Energy and Biogas Technology. The examination will also include questions on Wind Engineering Technology, Solar Energy Technology, Agro-Based Industries, Farm and Land Development Machinery, Farm Mechanization, and Irrigation and Drainage Engineering.
The online application window will remain open from September 17 to October 7, 2026, while the deadline for making corrections to the application form is October 14, 2026.
