US Advisor Peter Navarro Claims Indian Brahmins Profit from Russian Oil; Congress Leader Udit Raj Supports Allegation

US Advisor Peter Navarro claimed profits for Brahmins on oil purchases from Russia. Congress leader Udit Raj supported his statement and justified the profits of corporate houses of upper castes.

Trump Tariff: Senior advisor to US President Donald Trump, Peter Navarro, recently stated that Brahmins in India are profiting, especially during the procurement of crude oil from Russia. Navarro alleged that corporate houses of upper castes are benefiting from this trade. This statement caused controversy in the country. Despite this, Congress leader and former MP Udit Raj supported Navarro's statement. Udit Raj said that Navarro's claims are factually correct and he justified this accusation made in favor of the profits of upper-caste corporate houses.

Profits for Upper Caste Corporate Houses

Udit Raj clarified that only businessmen from upper castes are profiting from oil purchases from Russia. He said that large corporate houses in India are controlled by upper castes. These houses import oil from Russia, refine it, and sell it at higher prices. Udit Raj also stated that common Indians are not benefiting from this trade. He alleged that it will take centuries for backward castes and Dalits to establish corporate houses, as their path is difficult due to historical discrimination and social barriers.

Navarro's Allegation: India, the King of Tariffs

Peter Navarro criticized India's trade policies, stating that the country imposes the highest tariffs in the world. In an interview with American Fox News, he said that during exports from India, American laborers, taxpayers, and Ukraine suffer losses. Navarro also questioned India's energy policies and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Russia-China cooperation. He said that India is aligning with authoritarians and, despite being a democracy, is displaying authoritarian behavior in its policies.

Controversy Escalates Over Oil Purchases from Russia

Navarro also claimed that India is importing crude oil from Russia, which directly contributes to Russia's war fund. He stated that India exports more than a million barrels of refined petroleum daily, a significant portion of which includes imported Russian oil. New Delhi responded to Navarro's statement, saying that oil purchases from Russia are part of global market operations and are being done in India's national interest.

Udit Raj's Argument

Udit Raj stated that it is difficult for backward castes and Dalits to establish corporate houses in the country. He said that due to centuries of social discrimination and economic inequality, these communities have not yet been able to establish large corporate houses. Supporting Navarro's claim, Udit Raj said that the profits of upper castes and the challenges faced by backward castes are factually correct.

US-India Trade Dispute

A dispute over tariffs has recently escalated between India and the United States. President Trump imposed additional tariffs after New Delhi's refusal to import crude oil from Russia. Navarro said that India is the king of tariffs and this is affecting America, its laborers, and taxpayers. Along with this, he also questioned India's growing cooperation with Russia and China.
