Uttar Pradesh to Host 48 Ambassadors from 22 Countries, Showcasing Investment Opportunities and Rich Culture

From Friday to Sunday, November 1 to 3, Uttar Pradesh is set to host a gathering of 48 ambassadors and representatives from 22 countries. During this period, the foreign guests will get acquainted with the rich culture, traditions, and heritage of Uttar Pradesh and Awadh.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Pradesh) is set to become a hub for global investors and diplomats this coming weekend. From Friday to Sunday (November 1 to 3), 48 ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from 22 countries will converge in the capital city of Lucknow. This will be the first time such a large-scale foreign delegation visits UP.

The purpose of this visit is to explore investment opportunities (Investment Opportunities in UP) in the state and to understand the potential of India's fastest-emerging industrial state.

New Opportunities for Foreign Investment in UP

The state government's Invest UP department has been entrusted with the responsibility for this historic event. This program will not only showcase the industry, infrastructure, and startup ecosystem but also bring the culture, art, and traditions of Awadh to the world stage. The government's objective is to introduce foreign ambassadors to UP's development model and encourage them to invest in the state.

These ambassadors will include representatives from numerous countries, including the United States, Japan, France, Australia, Germany, South Korea, Singapore, Netherlands, Italy, Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Egypt, Mexico, and South Africa.

A Glimpse of Culture and Industry in Lucknow

During the three-day visit, foreign guests will experience both Lucknow's Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb (syncretic culture) and its direction of modern development.
They will visit historical sites — Bara Imambara, Rumi Darwaza, Husainabad Clock Tower, and the British Residency. Additionally, they will experience the Chikankari industry and taste Awadhi cuisine, which are hallmarks of Lucknow.

The state government is organizing this program under the name “Brand UP, Global Connect.” The aim of this initiative is to demonstrate how Uttar Pradesh has become a balanced confluence of tradition and progress.

Focus on Youth Skills and Technical Prowess

Foreign representatives will not only be introduced to cultural aspects but also to education and technological innovation. They will visit IIM Lucknow (IIM Lucknow), AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University), and HCL IT City (HCL IT City).  Here, they will observe firsthand the management, entrepreneurial, and technical capabilities of UP's youth.

The government believes that if foreign ambassadors understand UP's talent and technical expertise, it will prove to be a significant step in attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
