A startling incident has emerged from the Pali district of Rajasthan, where a woman named Afsana Bano has been bitten by a snake eight times in six months. This recurring snakebite phenomenon remains a mystery to her family and doctors, creating an atmosphere of panic throughout the village.
Pali News: Afsana Bano, a Muslim woman residing in the Sheikhon Ki Dhani area of Rajasthan's Pali district, has been a victim of snakebites eight times in the last six months. All these incidents occurred in broad daylight, leaving her family and neighbors stunned. Afsana's family comprises 25 members, yet only she has been consistently targeted by snakes. On several occasions, her condition became so critical that she had to be admitted to Jodhpur AIIMS and placed on a ventilator. This series of mysterious, recurring events has instilled fear and uncertainty throughout the entire village.
Afsana Bano Bitten by Snakes Eight Times in Six Months
Afsana Bano, a resident of Sheikhon Ki Dhani in Rajasthan's Pali district, is repeatedly falling prey to snakes. In the past six months, she has been bitten eight times, plunging her entire family into a state of dread. Notably, each incident occurred during daylight, and Afsana had to be rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
At one point, her condition deteriorated so severely that she had to be kept on a ventilator at Jodhpur AIIMS for two days. Doctors have confirmed clear snakebite marks on her body, adding to the mystery of these occurrences.
Afsana Admitted to Ventilator in Critical Condition
The first incident occurred in March when a snake suddenly bit Afsana while she was sweeping. Her husband, Mustaq Khan, immediately took her to the hospital and captured the young snake. Following this, she was bitten twice in April and May, and again twice in June and September.
The fifth incident was the most perilous, as the venom spread rapidly, leading to her critical condition. During this period, she was placed on a ventilator. Family members and neighbors are still bewildered as to why Afsana alone is repeatedly targeted by snakes.
Doctors Explain the Reason Behind Repeated Bites
According to medical experts, repeated snakebites can lead to the development of antibodies in the body. If the snake is venomous, the body's blood clotting mechanism can be compromised, leading to a rapid deterioration of the patient's condition.
Dr. H.M. Chaudhary, former Principal of Medical College, stated that Afsana's blood samples were examined, and appropriate treatment was administered. He acknowledged that the frequency of snakebites in her case is astonishing even for medical science.
Superstition and Planetary Influences Linked to the Incidents in the Village
Some villagers are attributing the incidents to superstition, suggesting that spiritual healing and incantations are the solutions. However, Afsana's husband, Mustaq Khan, has not believed in these remedies and has consistently opted for modern medical treatment for his wife.
Meanwhile, astrologer Suresh Vyas has attributed the situation to the influence of celestial bodies. He cited the impact of the Moon and Rahu, along with the major planetary periods of Mars and Saturn, as reasons and advised Afsana to wear a coral gemstone.
Atmosphere of Fear in the Family and Village Due to Mysterious Events
Afsana Bano's repeated snakebite incidents have become a mystery not only for her family but for the entire village. Currently, she is healthy, but the question remains as to why only she is being targeted by snakes.
The family has now heightened their vigilance, and Afsana herself lives under a shadow of fear while carrying out household chores. This event has become a topic of discussion on social, medical, and astrological levels.
