Youth Returns Alive as Funeral Preparations Underway in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh's Korba, a 4-day missing youth, Hariom Vaishnav, whose funeral preparations were underway after being presumed dead, returned alive. The incident caused fear among the villagers, leading to shouts of "ghost" and a highly tense atmosphere.

Korba: An extremely strange and shocking incident has come to light in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh. A youth named Hariom Vaishnav, for whom funeral preparations were being made under the assumption that he was dead, suddenly returned alive. Seeing this, the villagers and his family were stunned, and many people ran away screaming "ghost." The incident caused a major commotion among the family and villagers.

Family filed a missing person report for Hariom

27-year-old Hariom Vaishnav had gone to drop his wife at her parents' home in Darri on September 5. When he was delayed in returning home, the family registered a missing person report at the Darri police station. On Monday, an unidentified body was found in the Danganiya river, which the family identified as Hariom based on a tattoo and clothing.

Upon seeing the body's appearance and the tattoo of the letter 'R' on his hand, the family immediately began funeral preparations. A somber atmosphere enveloped the house, and relatives began to gather for the funeral.

Hariom suddenly returned home during the funeral preparations

As the pyre was being prepared for the funeral, Hariom Vaishnav suddenly returned home. His family and villagers were astonished to see him. Many people, out of fear, ran away shouting "ghost, ghost." After a short while, when people were convinced that the youth was indeed alive, the atmosphere calmed down.

This incident shocked the local residents. Discussions began in the village about how the family had started funeral preparations based on mistaken identity. Hariom's return alive exposed a significant error and a baseless rumor.

Hariom had gone to the city due to a family dispute

Hariom stated that he had gone to another city without informing anyone due to a family dispute. Because of his sudden departure, his family presumed him dead. Darri CSP Vimal Kumar Pathak informed that the body recovered from the river had initially been treated as Hariom's.

The CSP said, "Now that Hariom has returned alive, it has become clear that the body found in the river belonged to another individual. The police are investigating the matter and are working to identify the deceased."
