PM Modi Honored with 'Dharma Chakravarti' Title, Dedicates it to Mother India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Conferred with the Title 'Dharma Chakravarti' at the Birth Centenary Celebrations of Acharya Vidyanand Ji; He Offered it to Mother India as a Blessing.

PM Modi Dharam Chakravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with the title 'Dharma Chakravarti' at the birth centenary celebrations of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyanand Ji Maharaj, a prominent saint of Jainism, on Saturday. On this occasion, PM Modi humbly stated that he did not consider himself worthy of the title, but whatever is received from saints is a blessing, and in Indian tradition, it is accepted with humility.

'I Dedicate This Honor to the Feet of Mother India'

While accepting the honor, Prime Minister Modi said that he accepts the title of 'Dharma Chakravarti' as a blessing and dedicates it to the feet of Mother India. He added that the tradition of our country has been to accept whatever is received from saints with reverence and gratitude.

Tributes Paid to the Contributions of Jain Saint Vidyanand Ji Maharaj

The Prime Minister said that the day was special for another reason as well. On June 28, 1987, Acharya Vidyanand Ji received the title of Acharya. This was not just an honor but a historic event that advanced the Jain tradition of restraint, compassion, and thought. PM Modi bowed at the feet of Acharya Shri and wished for his blessings.

Resolution to Preserve India's Cultural Heritage

Prime Minister Modi also said at the ceremony that his government is digitizing ancient texts and starting new courses in mother tongues to preserve India's cultural heritage. He reiterated that the government is moving forward with the mantra of 'development as well as heritage'.

India Must Be Freed from the Mentality of Slavery

PM Modi recalled that he had previously appealed to the countrymen from the Red Fort that India must be freed from the mentality of slavery. He said that this thought is reflected in every decision being taken today in the fields of culture, education, and language.

India is the World's Most Ancient Living Civilization

In his address, PM Modi said that India is the world's most ancient living civilization and the credit for this goes to our sages, saints, and Acharyas. He said that India has been alive and dynamic for thousands of years because we have a tradition of immortal ideas, philosophy, and thought. Acharya Vidyanand Ji is a modern lighthouse of this tradition.

India, the Giver of the Message of Non-Violence

The Prime Minister also said that when violence was being answered with violence in many parts of the world, India showed a new path with the power of non-violence. India placed the service of humanity above all else and prioritized the sentiment of 'let us all walk together, let us all move forward together'.

Remembering Navkar Mahamantra Day and 9 Resolutions

PM Modi, while discussing Navkar Mahamantra Day, said that on that day, the countrymen were urged to take 9 resolutions. He said that it is gratifying to see people across the country adopting these resolutions in their lives. The guidance of Acharya Shri gives more energy to the country in this direction.
