Rajasthan SI: The Rajasthan government has clarified in the High Court that it does not want to cancel the SI recruitment 2021 exam. The government says that the investigation process is still ongoing and it would be wrong to cancel the entire exam. So far, the SOG has arrested 55 accused. The High Court will hold its final hearing in this matter on July 7, 2025. Meanwhile, the ban on training is still in effect.

Government provides complete information to the High Court

The Rajasthan government has clearly stated that it is not in favor of canceling the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination held in 2021. The government, clarifying its stand in the Rajasthan High Court in this regard, has said that this decision cannot be taken in haste. The government has said that the investigation of the matter related to the SI recruitment is currently being conducted by the SOG (Special Operations Group) and until the investigation is complete, canceling the examination would be an injustice to the future of thousands of candidates.

Important hearing in the High Court

A hearing was held in the Rajasthan High Court on July 1, 2025, in this matter. The hearing was conducted in the single bench of Justice Sameer Jain. The Advocate General, Rajendra Prasad, on behalf of the government, informed the court that the investigation into the irregularities in the recruitment is ongoing and, based on the investigation so far, 55 accused have been arrested.

According to the report, no recommendation to cancel

The government also informed that a special sub-committee was formed which examined the situation related to the recruitment. The report of this committee also suggested that it is not necessary to cancel the entire examination. According to the report, the candidates who have been selected under the correct process and are undergoing training will suffer heavy losses if the examination is canceled.

Training is still on hold

It is noteworthy that the Rajasthan High Court had put a stay on the training of the candidates selected in this recruitment process on January 10, 2025. This stay is still in effect. Until the court gives its final decision in this matter, the candidates cannot be given training. This stay was imposed after allegations of fraud and paper leaks in the examination.

55 arrested so far in SOG's action

The Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested 55 people so far in its investigation. These are the people who were allegedly involved in cases like paper leaks, dummy candidates, and rigging in the examination. The police estimate that about 300 people may be involved in this scam.

The investigating agency says that as the investigation progresses, new facts are coming to light and arrests are also being made. According to the SOG's report, some candidates had tried to pass the exam by paying money, while some had seated other people in their place in the examination.
