What to Prepare Before the Exam

The CAPF exam is conducted in two stages – the first paper is General Ability and Intelligence, which is multiple-choice (MCQ). It includes questions based on general knowledge, current affairs, general science, mathematics, logical reasoning, etc.

The second paper is General Studies, Essay and Comprehension, which includes essay writing, report writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and language-related questions.

Candidates should study previous years' question papers, practice time management, and prepare strategically for both papers.

Medical Test and Physical Efficiency Test

Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and Medical Standards Tests. This stage is particularly important because the role of Assistant Commandant demands physically fit and mentally b candidates.

Interview and Final Merit

Candidates who qualify the PET and medical test will be invited for an Interview/Personality Test. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in both the written examination and the interview.
