Entertainment Desk: The trailer for Sunny Deol's "Jaat" has been launched and is receiving an overwhelming response from viewers. The film, set in the South, showcases Sunny Deol in a powerful action avatar. During the trailer launch, Sunny Deol openly discussed the success of South Indian films and what Hindi cinema needs to learn.

Why are South Indian films becoming blockbusters?

During the trailer launch, Sunny Deol shared his perspective on the success of South Indian films, stating, "We city dwellers, influenced by foreign cultures, tend to forget our roots. However, the South Indian industry retains the essence of the nation's soil in its stories. This is why when South Indian narratives come to Hindi cinema, people connect with them."

He further added that Hindi cinema should return to its original form. "Cinema should be made like my films 'Ghatak,' 'Damini,' 'Arjun.' We need to return to our roots."

What should Bollywood learn?

Sunny Deol lauded the South Indian film industry's work ethic and suggested that the Hindi film industry should learn from them. He said, "What you call Bollywood, first make it Hindi cinema. See how films are made in the South. There, a good story is decided first, then the director is chosen, and complete trust is placed in him. The biggest hero is the story, and the one who showcases it is the director."

He further stated, "The South Indian industry places complete trust in its directors, and that's why they leave no stone unturned. I enjoyed working with them and said let's start another film. I'll settle down there."
