Kashmir Security Forces Intensify Anti-Terror Operations After Pulwama Massacre

Following the Pulwama Massacre, Security Agencies in Kashmir Continue Operations Against Terrorists and Their Networks. 64 locations were searched, and several terrorists and overground workers are being interrogated.

Jammu-Kashmir: Following the massacre in Pulwama, security agencies have intensified their operations against terrorists in Kashmir. Since the brutal killings carried out by terrorists in Pulwama, Kashmir on April 22nd, security forces have launched 'Operation All Out' against terrorists and their collaborators.

On Saturday, security forces continued demolishing the houses of terrorists; nine have been razed so far. Additionally, over 2500 people are being questioned across various areas in Kashmir.

Search of 64 Locations in Srinagar

Sixty-four locations linked to terrorists and overground workers were searched in Srinagar. These locations included the homes of terrorist collaborators and their hideouts. Security forces also searched the homes of these suspects and recovered some weapons.

Interrogations in Anantnag and Other Parts of Kashmir

Security forces have detained 188 suspects in Anantnag district. These suspects are being interrogated to obtain crucial information about the terrorist network. Furthermore, approximately 2500 individuals across other parts of Kashmir have been summoned to their respective police stations for questioning.

Demolition of Terrorists' Houses Continues

On Saturday, the houses of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Shahid Ahmad Kote in Shopian and terrorist Zakir in Kulgam were demolished. Following this, two more houses belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were demolished in Kupwara. In the evening, the house of TRF (The Resistance Front) terrorist Adnan Shafi Dar was also demolished in Jainapora, Shopian. A total of nine terrorists' houses have been demolished by security forces using explosives in the Valley in the last 24 hours.

DGP Deploys in South Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police, Nalini Prabhat, stated that he is visiting various districts in South Kashmir to assess the ongoing anti-terrorist operations. He added that security forces will be further strengthened in each district to eliminate terrorist activities. The Victor Force has instructed all military commanders within its jurisdiction to intensify anti-terrorist operations and increase patrols.

Deployment of Fighter Jets and Drone Surveillance

Security forces have also deployed fighter jets to enhance security in Kashmir. Indian Air Force fighter jets flew over Rajouri and Poonch, while drones are also being used for surveillance. This has further strengthened the security environment in Kashmir.

'Search and Destroy' Operation Continues in Kashmir

Security forces have launched a 'search and destroy' operation to completely eliminate terrorists. Under this operation, search operations are being conducted in Tral, Bijbehara, Awdu, Beeran, Kokernag, and other related areas. During this period, several suspects have been arrested, and dangerous weapons have been recovered from their possession.

NIA Launches Investigation

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated an investigation into the Pulwama terrorist attack. NIA officials, along with forensic experts, visited the Beeran Valley in Srinagar and gathered crucial information related to the attack. Additionally, the families of the civilians killed in the attack are being questioned.

Interrogation of Families in Bengal and Odisha

NIA officials have also recorded statements from the family of Samir Guha, who was killed in the attack, in Bengal. Furthermore, a three-member NIA team from Delhi questioned the wife of the deceased Prashant Satpathy, a resident of Balasore, Odisha.
