Nagpur-Violence: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has responded for the first time to the Aurangzeb controversy. Sunil Ambakar, the All India Publicity Chief of the RSS, stated that Aurangzeb is not relevant in the present time. When asked about Aurangzeb's relevance today, he directly replied, "I think he is not relevant."

RSS Statement on Nagpur Violence

Sunil Ambakar expressed concern over the violence that erupted in Nagpur on Monday concerning Aurangzeb's tomb. He stated that any kind of violence is detrimental to the health of society. Ambakar also mentioned that the police have taken cognizance of this violence and will thoroughly investigate the matter.

Incidents of Violence in Nagpur

On Monday, organizations like Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) staged protests in Nagpur demanding the demolition of Aurangzeb's tomb. This resulted in violent incidents in several areas.

Five FIRs Filed, Over 50 Arrests Made

Five FIRs have been registered and over 50 people have been detained in connection with the violence in Nagpur. The police have initiated the process of identifying those responsible for damaging public property.
