ATS arrests Ordnance Factory Kanpur employee for sharing sensitive information with a Pakistani spy.

UP News: Kumar Vikas, a Junior Works Manager at the Ordnance Factory Kanpur, has been arrested by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) for sharing confidential documents with a Pakistani agent, Neha Sharma. Kumar Vikas allegedly transmitted confidential information, including employee attendance records, charts related to ammunition production, and other sensitive documents, through a Ludo app.

Contact with Pakistani agent Neha Sharma

According to the investigation, in January 2025, Kumar Vikas contacted the Pakistani agent, 'Neha Sharma,' through Facebook. Posing as a BHEL employee, Neha Sharma initiated conversations with Kumar Vikas via WhatsApp and gradually began extracting confidential information.

Allured by money for sharing confidential documents

The ATS reports that Kumar Vikas was offered money in exchange for the information. He used the Ludo app to transmit these documents and information to the Pakistani agent.

Threat to national security

The ATS stated that sharing such confidential information poses a threat to the nation's security, unity, and integrity. This information could be misused against India, potentially leading to national instability.

Second arrest in a week

Earlier, on March 13th, the ATS arrested Ravindra Kumar, an employee of the Ordnance Equipment Factory in Firozabad, for sharing confidential information with the same Pakistani agent, Neha Sharma.

Kumar Vikas has been arrested under Section 148 BNS and 3/4/5 of the Official Secrets Act.
