The incident occurred while the Jaffar Express was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar. Terrorists blew up sections of the railway track in the Mashkaf, Dhadar, and Bolan areas of Balochistan, forcing the train to stop. They then seized control of the train.
'Kill Hostages if Military Action is Taken'
The BLA threatened the Pakistani government and security forces, stating that all hostages would be killed if any military operation was launched. The terrorists claimed full responsibility for the incident and warned the Pakistani army to face the consequences of their actions.
Six Pakistani Soldiers Killed
According to the BLA, six Pakistani soldiers have been killed in the attack. They claimed the operation was a joint effort of the Majeed Brigade, STOs, and Fateh Squad. They further warned that any retaliatory action by the army would result in further casualties.
Train Driver and Passengers Injured in Gunfire
According to Pakistani media reports, the terrorists opened heavy fire on the train, injuring the train driver. Several passengers were also injured. Reports indicate that approximately 500 passengers were on board the train's nine carriages.

Following the attack, Pakistani security forces cordoned off the area and launched an operation against the terrorists. Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind confirmed the firing on the Jaffar Express.
Emergency Declared at Hospital
According to official statements, an emergency has been declared at Sibi Hospital to treat the injured. Ambulances and security forces have been deployed to the scene. Railway controller Muhammad Kashif stated that attempts are underway to contact the passengers and train staff.
