Big news for sports enthusiasts! The Khelo India Para Games (KIPG) 2025 is set to commence on March 20th in New Delhi. This prestigious tournament will feature 1230 para-athletes, many of whom are medalists from the 2024 Paris Paralympics and the 2022 Asian Para Games.

Games Schedule and Venues

Running from March 20th to 27th, 2025, the games will encompass six major disciplines. The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will host para-athletics, para-archery, and para-powerlifting, while the Indira Gandhi Stadium complex will be the venue for para-badminton and para-table tennis.

Stellar Performance Expected from Indian Para-Athletes

This year's Khelo India Para Games will see participation from several top Indian para-athletes. In addition, emerging talented para-athletes from various disciplines are poised to make the nation proud.

Sports Minister's Statement - ‘We Can Do It’

India's Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expressed his hopes for the games. He stated, "The hard work and willpower of our para-athletes are an inspiration to every player. The spirit of 'We Can Do It' will make these games even more special. I am confident that we will witness a historic performance at the Khelo India Para Games 2025.”

Concurrently, India is also participating in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy, from March 7th to 17th. A 49-member contingent, comprising 30 athletes, 3 officials, and 16 support staff, has been sent for the competition.

He said, "Considering the past performance, I am sure our athletes will perform even better this time. The nation is proud of the hard work and dedication of these athletes."
