According to the latest data available today, April 16, 2025, there have been some changes in the prices of gold and silver. The price of 24-carat gold stands at ₹93,102 per 10 grams, while silver is priced at ₹95,030 per kilogram. These rates will remain stable until Wednesday, with further changes possible upon market opening.
Fluctuations in Gold and Silver Prices
According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), on Tuesday, the price of 24-carat gold decreased to ₹93,102 per 10 grams from the previous closing price of ₹93,353, while the price of silver increased to ₹95,030 per kilogram from the previous closing price of ₹92,929. Experts suggest that further price changes are possible considering the market conditions.

Despite the recent decline in gold prices, silver prices have seen an increase. In the global market, the price of gold has risen by $13.67 (0.43%), reaching $3,224.60 per ounce. Meanwhile, silver prices have increased by ₹2,500, and it is now being sold at ₹97,500 per kilogram.
City-wise Gold and Silver Rates
There may be variations in gold and silver prices across different cities in India. For instance, the price of 24-carat gold in Delhi is ₹95,320 per 10 grams, while in Mumbai, it is ₹95,170. The prices are roughly similar in other major cities like Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.
Record Increase in Gold Prices in Delhi
In Delhi, on Tuesday, the price of 99.9% pure gold increased by ₹50, reaching a new high of ₹96,450 per 10 grams. On Monday, the price was ₹96,400. Currently, the price of 99.5% pure gold has also increased by ₹50, reaching ₹96,000 per 10 grams.
Increase in Silver Price
Silver prices have also witnessed an increase. Due to the recent industrial demand, the price of silver has risen by ₹2,500, reaching ₹97,500 per kilogram, compared to ₹95,000 per kilogram on Monday. This increase is a positive sign for the silver market.
