West Bengal residents will face a three-day disruption in banking services from May 9th, 2025. Banks will remain closed for three consecutive days – May 9th (Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti), May 10th (Second Saturday), and May 11th (Sunday).

Reasons for Bank Closure:

May 9th, Friday, marks the birth anniversary of the Nobel laureate and renowned poet, Rabindranath Tagore. This day is a significant cultural occasion in West Bengal, declared a public holiday by the state government.
