Following the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack, Security Agencies have compiled a list of 14 local terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir. Five terrorists involved in the attack have been identified, including three Pakistani nationals.
Jammu-Kashmir: Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025, which injured 26 tourists, security forces have taken a significant step. Intelligence agencies have released a list of 14 local terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir. This action signals the security forces' determination to completely eliminate terrorism in the valley.
Terrorist Organizations and their Links
Sources indicate that these 14 terrorists are linked to three major Pakistan-supported terrorist organizations: Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Three of these terrorists are affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen, eight with Lashkar-e-Taiba, and three with Jaish-e-Mohammed. In releasing this list, intelligence agencies also stated that these individuals provided aid and ground support to Pakistani terrorists.

- Adil Rahman Dantu (21) - Lashkar-e-Taiba member and commander of Sopore district.
- Asif Ahmed Sheikh (28) - Jaish-e-Mohammed district commander, Awantipora.
- Ahsan Ahmed Sheikh (23) - Lashkar member, Pulwama.
- Haris Nazir (20) - Lashkar member, Pulwama.
- Amir Nazir Wani (20) - Jaish-e-Mohammed member, Pulwama.
- Yavar Ahmed Bhat (24) - Jaish-e-Mohammed member, Pulwama.
- Shahid Ahmed Kute (27) - Lashkar and TRF member, Shopian.
- Amir Ahmed Dar - Lashkar member, Shopian.
- Zubair Ahmed Wani (39) - Hizbul Mujahideen operational commander, Anantnag.
- Harun Rashid Gani (32) - Hizbul Mujahideen member, Anantnag.
- Nasir Ahmed Wani (21) - Lashkar member, Shopian.
- Adnan Safi Dar - Lashkar and TRF member, Shopian.
- Zakir Ahmed Gani (29) - Lashkar member, Kulgam.
Commencement of Operations and Campaigns by Security Forces
Security forces have launched a special operation across South Kashmir, particularly in Anantnag and Pulwama districts, where these terrorists are believed to be active. This operation aims to dismantle the terrorists' network and prevent future attacks. Strict action will be taken against these terrorists to restore peace and security in the valley.
Reward Offered for Terrorists Involved in the Pahalgam Attack
A reward of 20 lakh rupees has been announced for information leading to the arrest of three Pakistani terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack – Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. Rewards have also been offered for other local operatives such as Adil Guri and Ahsan. The NIA and Jammu and Kashmir Police are jointly investigating to identify and apprehend these terrorists, following The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy organization of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, claiming responsibility for the attack.

The NIA and other security agencies are fully engaged in dismantling the network of these terrorists. Confronting these terrorists and establishing accountability for their attacks is a crucial step towards completely eliminating terrorism. Furthermore, this action will help disrupt the terrorists' logistical network in the valley and prevent future terrorist activities.
