New Delhi: Political activity has intensified once again in Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has put up large posters in various parts of the capital city, which read, "Only 3 days left, ₹2500 for every woman every month." AAP claims this is a reminder that before the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP promised to give women ₹2500 per month, but no action has been taken since forming the government.

BJP Government Cornered Through Posters

AAP also shared these posters on its official social media platforms. Sharing a post on X (formerly Twitter), AAP wrote, "Only 3 days left, after which, as per Modi ji's guarantee, ₹2500 will arrive in the accounts of Delhi's women on March 8th." Simultaneously, AAP workers also protested in several areas, including the IIT flyover, accusing the BJP government of not fulfilling its promises.

Atishi Attacks the Government

Atishi, a senior AAP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, criticized the BJP. She said, "We are not protesting; we are just waiting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself guaranteed that ₹2500 would come into the accounts of Delhi's women from March 8th. Now March 8th is just 3 days away; let's see if the government lives up to its promise."

Questions Raised on BJP's Silence

AAP leaders say the BJP government has remained silent on this issue. The party questioned the delay in fulfilling this electoral promise. Was it merely an election strategy, or will a relief scheme for women actually be implemented? Sources say that if ₹2500 is not credited to women's accounts by March 8th, the Aam Aadmi Party is preparing to hold even larger protests. The party says that an attempt is being made to deceive the people of Delhi, and AAP will not tolerate it.
