Following an announcement by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has decided to launch a large-scale recruitment drive in the state.

2. Sub-Inspector (Daroga) Positions
Sub-Inspector Civil Police: 4,242 positions
Sub-Inspector Civil Police Women (PAC Wing): 106 positions
Platoon Commander/Sub-Inspector Armed Police: 135 positions
Platoon Commander/Sub-Inspector (Special Security Force): 60 positions
Jail Warder and Other Recruitments Included
The Prisons Headquarters has sent a requisition for recruitment to 2,833 Jail Warder positions. In addition, the recruitment process will commence for 1,153 Computer Operator Grade 'A' positions, 345 positions for Clerk, Accounts and Confidential Assistant, and 44 positions for Radio Assistant Operator. The dream of establishing three women's wings of the PAC has also been realized. With the establishment of the Uda Devi Women's Wing in Lucknow, the Veerangana Avanti Bai Women's Wing in Badaun, and the Veerangana Jhalkari Bai Women's Wing in Gorakhpur, the recruitment process for women constable positions is also being expedited.
